Yappd's Articles From Beginning to End

When we (Brent, Andrew, and myself), started Yappd in August, we didn't think it'd gain as much attention as it did. Not all of it was good attention, but we were all just happy to know that people noticed what we built. I never really spoke out about Yappd that much, but I must say that it is something that I am really proud of and I am amazed at how hard we worked to get it up and running within two weeks. After the acquisition of Yappd's "assets" and it's closing this month, I thought it'd be good to consolidate a list of articles that mentioned Yappd. Below is a list of all of the articles from popular publications and web blogs. I might have missed some, and if I did let me know and I'll make sure to add it in. Hopefully I'll be able to add another list like this for something else, but I don't think I'm allowed to do that anytime soon.

Damn. Brendan, that is one hell of a ride. I wish things had worked out a little better. You just never know. So, confidentiality statement. That sucks! Non-Compete? That sucks too.

I’ve been using credit cards for quite a while already and I’ve built a good credit history. But I feel that I do not enjoy all the opportunities of my credit card, using it for offline purchases only. There are lots of web sites where you can buy things with credit cards and it saves your time and effort. But, is it secure to buy online? If yes, I’m going to apply for card at how can i improve my credit and build it back up how to do balance transfer citibank

People get credit cards for a reason. Yes, credit cards might entice you to buy more but most of the time you would have bought those things anyway. Credit card allow you to spend less but to save more if you make the right choice. An important thing is to compare credit card deals. Fortunately, it’s not that hard when you use the sites such as Excellent Credit Card

For that I applied and now use 2 credit card and stick to the payment schedule. I'm glad to see my credit boost since I got the idea of this at Excellent Credit Card

Hey Brendan So sad to see yappd just disappear into the wild... so you now work at Intridea? Why sell Yappd???
  10. Brendan G. LimFebruary 19, 2008 @ 12:30 AM
Hey Simplebucket -- Yes, I currently work for Intridea. We sold Yappd because we were offered a decent deal. The code behind the site is going to be used, but the site will not retain the same name anymore. I'm afraid that's as much as I'm allowed to disclose at the moment. Also, I must say that it's quite funny to see all these "twitter+pictures" sites out there, and no mention of us on TechCrunch or Mashable. Thanks for your interest!
